Red Paint was a beautiful memoir of a punk, indigenous, poet woman as she learns to heal her own trauma. It takes a look at generational trauma and how historical actions of white settlers are still affecting individuals and groups today. Sasha is brave in her delivery and poetic in her story-telling while she covers assault, homelessness, miscarriage, divorce and reconnecting with her own roots to find the courage past self-medication into deep healing.
