The book starts out with a violent scene toward a woman which was immediately off-putting (sometimes I just can’t). However, the story picks up and follows three women from three different time-periods all connected through the Weyward line and maybe a hint of witchcraft. Ultimately, the women prevail which made for a satisfying read. I love anything witch-related, especially witchy-history. Great recommendation from a friend!
