Britney Spears is a big part of my adolescence. Her first single, Hit Me Baby One More Time, dropped when I was 12 so you could say I grew up with her. I’ve never been a diehard fan and really didn’t follow anything Britney-related until all the “Free Britney” news came out a few years ago. I believe everyone deserves a chance to tell their story and hearing Britney’s story, from her perspective, is a reminder that we never really know what’s going on with a person. It didn’t feel like the most honest, vulnerable, or raw memoir I’ve read.
