I picked up “The Happiness Trap” to deepen my understanding of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a psychotherapy modality that initially didn’t resonate with me. At first, the concepts felt a bit cheesy and superficial. However, I’m glad I stuck with it because the book turned out to be much more insightful and practical than I first thought. As a therapist, I found valuable strategies that I can apply professionally, but the book is also accessible enough that I could easily recommend it to clients. It offers practical tips that anyone could implement to improve their approach to personal challenges.
