“First Lie Wins” was a great listen—definitely the audiobook equivalent of a page-turner. We tag along with “Evie” as it gradually becomes clear that she’s not really who she claims to be. Actually, it turns out a lot of the characters are hiding something. The whole time, you’re trying to piece together the mess she’s in and figure out who can be trusted. It’s a solid suspense novel, but what really sealed the deal for me was how well the author nailed the ending. It made the entire build-up worthwhile and left me appreciating the whole story even more.
