I’d never actually read Winnie the Pooh before. Of course, I knew the silly bear and his companions from cartoons and snippets over the years, but I had never read the original work by A.A. Milne that started it all.
Over the last few weeks, I read it with my kids, one chapter a night, and it was utterly delightful. The dry humor tucked throughout, the charming illustrations, and the whimsical stories all struck the perfect balance. My kids were engaged and snuggly, and I found myself laughing right along with them (or maybe more than them).
Absolutely recommend, whether you have kids or not!
