I read this to fulfill the “book set in the future” category for my reading challenge. I didn’t realize ahead of time that it was YA (not typically my genre of choice) and it definitely gives Gossip Girl vibes (spoken as someone who’s only seen about three episodes). That said, I was entertained.

The story is set in a futuristic New York City, where an enormous thousand-floor skyscraper basically functions as its own vertical city. The higher up you live, the wealthier and more elite you are. The book follows a group of teenagers and their interconnected drama. While I can usually do without too much teenage angst, I did enjoy the world-building and the futuristic tech sprinkled throughout.
