Read For Fun
I read this one as a buddy read, which was especially fun since the book itself is hilarious (even though it starts out pretty dark, but I love dark). Phoebe, our protagonist, ends up inadvertently mixed up in a wedding at a hotel after showing up there for entirely different reasons. Over the course of the week, we learn about Phoebe’s past, her heartbreak, stagnation at her job, and her loneliness. New life begins to take shape for her during the wedding, along with the spark of a new love interest.
I am not usually a big rom-com reader. The tropes tend to annoy me, and the genre just isn’t typically my thing. But I enjoyed this one. It was lighthearted without feeling too forced, and I thought the ending was perfect. A super fun read!
