Read For Fun
I love my teacher friends because sometimes they will just place a book in my hand and say “read this.” That is exactly what happened with Love That Dog. My first question was, “Am I going to cry?” To which she just looked at me and did not respond, which of course was a response.
The book is about a little boy named Jack learning to read poetry and, with the encouragement of his teacher, using poetry to express his emotions and build confidence. It is moving, tender, and so sweet.
A short read, but one that stays with you.
