Fifth in the series, and I just love these characters. I was thrilled to be back with the ol’ Thursday Murder Club gang—especially after catching the Netflix movie based on the first book! Wasn’t Helen Mirren the perfect Elizabeth?
I think the fourth book in the series, The Last Devil to Die, is still my favorite to date. I remember laughing and crying alternately throughout. Osman has created such delightful characters, and I love seeing how they respond to new situations and how their relationships continue to grow. He handles his stories with wit and charm but also manages to tap into the deeper human moments that make them so memorable.
This one has it all: a wedding, a murder, Joyce baking up a storm, and even some bitcoin. Enjoy!
