This book was recommended by a colleague, and I took this read nice and slow. I loved The Miracle of Mindfulness, and this one felt like a natural companion to that experience.
The book is a series of short essays that trace Thich Nhat Hanh’s life as a monk and mindfulness teacher through Vietnam, France, and the United States. There were so many beautiful passages that I found myself reading and rereading, letting them settle rather than rushing on.
It is full of wisdom and gentle reminders that presence really is the key. A quiet, grounding read that feels like an invitation to slow down and come home to yourself.
