A beautiful follow-up to A Psalm for the Wild-Built. I think a lot of authors could learn a thing or two from Chambers’ ability to tell a meaningful, heartfelt story while keeping it brief. Her writing feels gentle, intentional, and quietly profound.
Mosscap (our favorite robot) is just as endearing (maybe even more so) in this sequel, and the dynamic between Mosscap and Dex (the traveling tea monk) continues to shine. This time, we follow them on a journey through various villages as they ask the deceptively simple question: What do people need? The answers vary, of course, and in that variety lies the beauty of the story.
Itβs a lovely, thoughtful meditation on humanity, connection, and how we impact one another and the world around us.
