Library Challenge
Can I admit that I didn’t really like “Jane Eyre”? It’s a classic, and I know I’m quite late to the party, but it was a bit of a slog to get through. To be honest, I found both main characters underwhelming. Jane was just… okay, and Rochester didn’t come across as particularly believable. I wanted them to end up together and at the same time, just didn’t really care.
For a classic, I expected more, and found myself wishing I had picked up an abridged version- despite usually being a purist who steers clear of such edits. I feel like I need to apologize to someone here… but I don’t know who.
