Are Dan Brown novels considered highbrow literature? Probably not. Are they incredibly fun and totally worth reading? Absolutely.
This is the latest installment in the Robert Langdon series, and this time we get to chase clues all over the mysterious city of Prague. It was the perfect winter break read for me: fast-paced, suspenseful, and consistently interesting. The book dives into questions of consciousness and noetic science, which added a layer of intrigue beyond the usual puzzles and symbols.
If you have never read a Dan Brown novel before, you could really start anywhere. You may as well start with Secret of Secrets. Or, if you want to go in order, you could set yourself up for a very entertaining reading year with Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, and The Lost Symbol , Inferno, and Origin.
Sometimes reading does not need to be serious to be satisfying, and Dan Brown delivers exactly that.
