St. John Mandel does not disappoint in her ability to weave a lot of different story arcs and characters together for a nice “wow” factor at the end. Admittedly, I was a little more bored in this book for some reason. It did feel topical (unintentionally) as it is about a world post-pandemic, but was written before our own pandemic. Maybe that topic (anything pandemic related) just feels a little to close to home for me still.
