I’ve had this on my bedside table for an embarrassingly long time and finally got around to reading it. It’s a beautiful book, one that needs quiet contemplation. I took it one chapter a night so I could sit with what I read. Compared to Tolle’s other works, like the renowned “A New Earth,” (my personal favorite) “Stillness Speaks” feels more accessible; it’s concise and straightforward, making the deep themes it explores easier to digest. Its brevity does not detract from its depth—each page is rich with wisdom that encourages a pause and reflection. This book has quickly established itself as one that I will likely return to annually. It serves not just as a read but as a spiritual practice. For anyone familiar with Tolle’s teachings or those new to his philosophy, “Stillness Speaks” offers a gentle entry point into the transformative power of stillness.
