A 13-year-old girl goes missing from her camp bunk, not just any girl, but Barbara, the daughter of the wealthy family who owns the camp. As if that weren’t enough, her older brother vanished from the same area years earlier. The story unfolds through shifting timelines, letting us piece together both disappearances while getting to know the characters and their tangled relationships.
It’s a slow-burn mystery that builds tension masterfully, but what really sealed it for me was the ending. No spoilers, but Liz Moore nailed it. Gripping, well-written, and layered—this one’s absolutely worth the read.
