The gang of my favorite septuagenarian sleuths returns to hunt down twenty million pounds worth of diamonds and then solve the murders of multiple people that were murdered in the wake of the stolen diamonds. Our favorite police officers return again as well as Osman dives deeper into the relationships between the characters. This book explored fear, loneliness, and what holds us back from living life, both at the beginning of life and at the end. I laughed out loud at the dialogue and internal monologues with the dry British humor Osman freely wields. The wild goose chase you go along with the characters is exciting and kept me guessing. Excited to read the third installment in the series!
