One day, the whole world receives a box with a mysterious string. The string represents how long your life will be. You can choose to open the box or not, kind of a personal Shroedinger-cat situation for all those that chose not to look. How does this affect how someone chooses to live, how politics are shaped, relationships are affected, and discrimation comes into play. We follow several characters that all end up converging and how their own lives have direct effects on one another.
