My first Marie Benedict! What do I say about this? If your relationship with the patriarchy is at a rocky point, maybe set this one down and pick up a different book. It is historical fiction, however, as I understand it, Benedict kept to the facts as much as possible and then filled in the blanks with her imagination. We get to learn about the background and history of Einstein’s wife, who was a physicist! Who knew? I certainly didn’t. Which I think is the point, why aren’t we all already aware of her achievements? I left with a lot more respect for Mrs. Einstein, and, unfortunately, a lot, lot, less for Mr. Einstein.
