While taking an intensive course on IFS (Internal Family Systems) taught by Frank Anderson, I had the pleasure of reading his book “To Be Loved” as it was released. Anderson is not only a great instructor but also a skilled writer. His memoir is beautifully crafted, detailing his extensive journey through trauma and healing. Reading a memoir, you often sense whether the author is still processing their trauma or has moved beyond it to share their insights. Anderson clearly belongs to the latter group. His ability to maintain a neutral yet deeply personal and vulnerable tone throughout the book shows just how much work he’s done on himself. This memoir was a compelling and heartfelt read—I loved it!
