I read The House In The Cerulean Sea and so I had to read this one. They are very very similar. Not a bad thing because I did love Cerulean Sea. This one explores death, mortality, the afterlife, and what makes a good life or a good person. It’s charming and warm. The characters are loveable and joyful to watch develop and grow. Despite the topic, I still found it to be a light and enjoyable read. Exactly what I hoped from Kline.
